Welcome to Kernel. These Terms of Service (‘Terms’) govern your access to and use of Kernel (the ‘Service’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Kernel is a personal link-saving and recall tool. You save links, Kernel generates a summary and category using AI, and you can later search or ask about saved items in plain language. The Service is currently offered free of charge and is under active development.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You may delete your account at any time through the app; doing so permanently removes your saved data, except where retention is required by law or described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Kernel to store or share unlawful content, attempt to disrupt or abuse the Service (including excessive automated requests), or attempt to access another user’s account or data without authorization.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of links and content you save. By using the Service, you grant us permission to process that content (e.g., via AI summarization) solely to provide the Service to you.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kernel and its creator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

7. Changes to the Service

Features, availability, and functionality may change, be added, or be discontinued at any time, with reasonable notice where practical.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
